WHAT THE DAY LOOKS LIKE
When you arrive, there will be an ALL TOGETHER time when we will greet each other, have some finger plays, songs and share a book
Next, there will be a parent/child activity in various areas of development. Each month we will focus on a different developmental area of your child. You will spend time doing art, working puzzles, building with blocks, reading books and pretending. Children learn through their play and we will show you what they learn when doing these activities.
After some free play and exploration as a family, your child will stay with PAT and preschool staff in the class room while the parents and care givers enjoy a few minutes with a speaker from our community who will address issues of raising children. After a short period of time, we will all come together again to enjoy lunch!
The Pulaski County Board of Education offers many programs that allow parents to be involved in the growth of their child. Together, the Family Resource Youth Services Centers, Parents As Teachers, KY-AWARE and Memorial Education Center present these parent connections to offer you all you need to be your child’s first and most important teacher.
