School is expected to open August 5, 2020. During this time of a pandemic, we must make some hard decisions. Some will not be popular and I understand, but we must try to make the best decisions for students given the expectations from state agencies. Our plan follows the expectations of the Kentucky Department of Education and the Kentucky Department of Health. The plan is based around three common principles: social distancing of at least six feet, wearing a mask when you cannot socially distance, and contact tracing if COVID-19 is present. Parents will be able to choose a virtual option or attend school on a 5-day normal schedule. Both options will have conditions that parents must consider when making their decision.
