Custodial Positions Available

Pulaski County Schools is committed to helping students succeed through its Extended School Services (ESS) program. ESS provides additional instructional time outside the regular school day to support students who are academically at-risk.

Program Highlights:

  • Eligibility: Students are referred based on academic need. ESS targets students who are unlikely to achieve proficiency or transition successfully without additional instructional time and support.
  • Services Offered: Tutoring and academic intervention activities are tailored to individual student needs.
  • Schedule: ESS sessions are held before or after school, on weekends, or during school breaks. Services are provided outside regular instructional hours unless a daytime waiver has been approved by the Kentucky Department of Education.
  • Cost: There is no cost to families. ESS is funded through the Kentucky Department of Education.

Parent Communication: Parents will be notified if their child is recommended for ESS participation. The notice will include the reason for referral, the services offered, and how progress will be monitored. If a parent disagrees with the recommendation, they may request reconsideration through the school’s ESS coordinator.

Contact Information: For more information, please contact your child’s school, and ask to speak with the School ESS Coordinator.

KSA 2024: Way to Go Pulaski County Students!

The Pulaski County School District is celebrating its remarkable performance with the recent release of state testing results. Superintendent Patrick Richardson noted, “All of our schools are among the highest-scoring in the state. Our whole community has so much to be proud of. Our students are learning well, working hard, and putting forth greater effort in their studies and on these important tests that tell us all how we’re doing as a school system. We have considerable support from parents and families, which makes a big difference. And I am especially grateful for our teachers and staff, who are dedicated to instructing, leading, and motivating our students, and who are too often underappreciated in our current political and social climate. Our teachers and staff are among the best in Kentucky.”

The Kentucky Summative Assessment (KSA) was administered in May, and scores for every public school in the state are now available to the public. Here’s how Pulaski County Schools stacked up against other districts:

--Elementary Schools: Top 6% – Ranked #11 of 182 districts

--Middle Schools: Top 13% – Ranked #23 of 182 districts

--High Schools: Top 12% – Ranked #22 of 178 districts
