My cousin goes there and when I've been there it seems like a very neat and interesting school to go to if my family moved to Somerset. Right now my family lives in Bowling Green, KY. My grandparents also live there. That's how I've been to Erin's (my cousin) school.  -Emma Brittenham (Cumberland Trace Elementary)

"My daughter Taylor transferred to this school on April 9th 2002. She was in Mrs. Adkins class, we moved from Ashland KY and I have to say I don't know who was more scared she or I. I was amazed when I met w/ the teacher, counselor and met the class. Everyone was so friendly. Taylor loves this school 10 times more than her old school. She has more friends, nicer teachers and a better atmosphere. Her old school was full of "rich" kids who looked down on you if you didn't wear the right clothing which was very expensive to keep up w/. But here, the kids are awesome, very well mannered and when I was leaving Taylor on the first day some cute little boy even opened the door for me!! I was amazed at the difference in the kids, and staff at Pulaski. You guys keep up the awesome work. I love this school and this town. Its very refreshing being in this kind of atmosphere and raising a family!!! Hats off to everyone here!!"   Teresa Dick

"Where is the treasure?"   Jay Park

"I really enjoyed reading about your school. You have some very interesting projects going on. I was impressed with your technological activities. I am a teacher at Grant M. Bowler elementary school in Logandale, Nevada. We are about 65 northeast of Las Vegas, Nevada. I was just wandering on the net when I typed up Wizard of Oz, because two of our second grade classes are trying to come up with a script for the Wizard of Oz. I see that you've already produced your show. Was it difficult and where did you find your script? Please let me know, I would be interested in learning how your show went and what were some of the drawbacks. We have never put together a show on our own such as this so were beginners, but we have a lot of enthusiasm." Ms. Smith, Grant M. Bowler Elementary, Logandale, Nevada

"I think your web page is great! I attended the sixth grade there in 1971-72. I was drawn here by a history of Somerset that was created by Ben Barnett's fifth grade social studies class. I was also impressed with his description of his teaching philosophies and methods. As a matter of fact, I believe him to be a PCHS and SCC classmate of mine. Tell him I said "Hello" and "Great job, keep up the good work!"Gary Parsons

"I accessed your site looking for a Santa poem about a donkey. I was really impressed with the knowledge and know-how your Whole School seems to have. It warms my heart to know that your school is so up to date.....I live in Wooster, Ohio, Wayne County. It is the agricultural capital of the US. At one time Wayne County had more cows living here than people. One of my favorite facts about the area......Our daughter lives in Pikeville, Ky. I love your state. You should be proud of what you have accomplished at this school. If you are in need of a key friend from Ohio, I am interested."  Cindy Mann Wooster, Ohio

"Hello and ‘Happy Thanksgiving’ to the staff and students of your school. I found your site while surfing, and Somerset Ky seemed to leap out at me. I teach at Reagan Elementary in Quanah, TX and our web page is still under construction. We are just now getting computers online in our school, even though we have been using them for the AR program for a number of years. I am going to ask our computer person to look at your web site. I think he could probably get some good ideas from it." Carol Simpson Quanah, TX

"Mrs. Hargis' eighth grade Current Social Issues class visited your Web Site and we really liked your student page. The computer art was a neat idea to include on your Web Site. Adding other Web Sites to your Site was a good way to get other people interested in reading and looking at other sites. The tour of your school would be a good way for someone coming to your school with Internet to get familiar with it. Thanks for the wonderful Web Site that your staff and students helped create."  "The students at the school have constructed a great web site for their school. I enjoyed reading about all of the different programs and the people there. Thanks again, it is great!!!" KILSW@aol.com Melbourne, Florida

"Congratulations to three wonderfully gifted girls! I am an artist, originally from Eastern KY and have been looking around the WWW for real estate "somewhere back in the mountains". Because I always loved the Cumberland Gap area as a little girl, I thought I might see what you have to offer. When I saw what your school is doing to educate all of you, I decided to stop searching and start looking! It seems clear that Somerset cares very deeply for its children and their educations. This is important to me because I have four sons. Thank you for a very enjoyable visual experience. Who knows? Someday soon I may just pop in for a formal introduction! Keep it up, girls. I hope to see more of your work someday."

"...I was looking around on the web for some info on the Civil War in Ky. It just so happens that my family fought in the Civil War and some died in the fight . My mother's name was Dahlia Adams I am telling you this because at the time of the Mill Springs battle the Adams and their relations owned about a thousand acres on both sides of Fishing Creek. Some day I hope to return to Ky. and repurchase some of my forefathers property. I still have some family that lives there and have visited a couple of times in recent years. Although Ca. is beautiful Ky. is one of the most beautiful places on this earth .... Thank you all so very much and I will read more about your wonderful school. I am sure that I have some relatives going to school there." Donald R Dunn  Cupertino, Ca.

"I really enjoyed visiting your web site. We are just getting started on our web site. We have been working hard to get our students and staff to share their classroom projects on the home page. We are doing many exciting things at our school but we need to share them with others on the internet. Your website is one I'll come back to time and time again to share with teacher and students. Keep up the good work. Your students are doing fabulous things with technology. What a fabulous learning experience for them." Janet Luce Principal of Rapid Valley Elementary  Rapid City, South Dakota

"Congratulations! We recently looked at your site and were very impressed. Your site provides a valuable service to the educational community. I'm writing to inform you that you will be featured as the "School Spotlight" on the Discovery Channel School web site March 3,1998... The criteria we used in selecting your school website included the following considerations:
1. The site has a place for student projects/input.
2. The site has a place for teacher/parent Internet links.
3. The site has attractive, easy to download graphics and is easy to navigate.
4. The site has an identified webmaster.
5. The site indicates that the school is actively involved with using the Internet in their curriculum.
6. The site has been updated fairly recently."

"I've been doing an internet unit with our P2/P3's, and we used PES and SES web pages for our information hunt. The kids really enjoyed your Know It All Quiz." Marjie Hille Hopkins Primary School  Somerset, KY

"I found your page while looking for property in KY. I'm from Chicago and have been to Kentucky many times. I plan to retire there in the future. I think it's great the kids are learning so much about computers. If there is anything you would like to know about Chicago let me know. Keep up the good work. Maybe my grandkids will end up at your school someday."  Twinkie8  Chicago, IL

"I am a teacher in Fayette and am in the process of designing a web page for our school. In looking at web pages across KY, yours is by far the best that I have viewed. There is so much student involvement, as far as activities, projects, and learnings. It appears that your teachers really work long hours planning, etc. for all the school happenings. The web designer has done an excellent and beautiful job. Keep up the good work-I can only hope our web pages can be this good as we mature in web creations!!"  Neva Etter  Fayette Co., KY

"I was just visiting your web site and a few sites in your area and I was quite impressed with your use of technology. Not all schools are so advanced...."Jim Schmiedicke  President  Learning ShortCuts, Inc.
